ALEXIS K. PHILLIPS

I have always had a passion for writing and am thrilled to be combining this with my other love—sustainability. I grew up on a farm in Pennsylvania, so I learned what sustainability meant from a young age. I come from four generations of entrepreneurs who have shaped my growth, expansion, and optimistic mindset that fuels my work every day.

Before I founded Renewable Writing LLC in 2021, I was a project manager for cleantech and solar microgrid startups’ engineering teams. I have my masters in Renewable Energy Engineering from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya in Barcelona and Instituto Superior Técnico Lisboa through a full-ride scholarship from InnoEnergy and my bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from Clemson University.

Another passion of mine is travel, and so far I have explored 35 countries while living in five of them. I’ve been living in Costa Rica for the past three years, chosen for its picturesque nature, friendly people, unbeatable adventure, and pura vida lifestyle. This beautiful country is also one of the first to run on 100% renewables, which aligns with my personal values. My favorite hobbies are scuba diving, hiking with my Shepsky Artemis, snowboarding, tennis, and racing.

Our mission is to inspire sustainable action through strategic content that highlights green businesses’ value, impact, and unique point of view to accelerate the energy transition.
